Straw Bale Gardens Complete (can't underline in this field) sounds interesting to me. I pick up a lot of hay bales after Thanksgiving. People in our neighborhood just don't compost as much as they should. I use the bales to pen in my fallen leaves. I'd like to do something else w/ them, and this would be a good guide. I've also heard of this style of gardening and suggested it to a friend in NC who has really difficult soil conditions on his property. This book would be great to share with him.

For me it's Starting & Saving Seeds. I'm trying but find it so confusing all of the different information about which seeds need which type treatment before planting. Not to mention how to store properly. Growing a garden is expensive but if I can get this down it would be a lot less so.

Starting and Saving Seeds! This represents one of my favorite aspects of gardening— the ability to save seeds to share treasured varieties with friends and family. My most prized flowers are poppies grown from family seeds that have been passed down through generations, and I would love to have a solid reference to expand the varieties of plants I can confidently save seeds from.

I would be most excited to win the vertical vegetables book. I have been doin alot of research on vertical gardening lately as I live in a home with a tiny yard but I want so badly a large beautiful garden with more produce than my space will allow. I think it's incredibly important for more people to realize they can still have a garden even though they may live in an apartment or small area without a yard. We need to band together and start to grow big in small spaces!
